PST wants to meet more than customer hardware needs for power transmission and linear motion applications. While providing hardware is the ultimate goal at PST we also want to do what we can to assure that component parts will meet the performance needs and expectations. To this end PST provides engineering support that will help customer's determine the specifics of their requirements.

PST engineering can help in many ways, some of which are:

Determining which type of thread works best in a given power transmission application
Reviewing system requirements for various thread applications
Calculating the torque required to drive a power transmission or linear motion screw and nut set
Determining if the system will back drive or not
Calculating the efficiency of a power motion screw and nut set
Determining the Dynamic and Static Capacities for ball screws
Determining the load limits for Acme, Trapezoidal and Special Thread forms
Determining material to be used (Temper, Corrosion Resistance, etc)
