Capabilities/Equipment
Materials
Most wrought materials used in manufactured parts can be thread rolled. Steel, both plain carbon and alloy, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, high nickel content materials and exotic metals can be thread rolled. Hardness as high as Rockwell C50 have been successfully rolled on our equipment. The best properties for thread rolling are indicated by a fairly wide spread between the ultimate strength and the yield strength of the material.

Tolerances
- Closer Tolerances
- Few can match PST's pitch diameter tolerances of less than .001" and lead accuracies of .001" per foot of thread.
- Closer Thread Accuracy
- Pitch Diameter Tolerances of less than .001" can readily be held.
- Thread Geometry can be held to extremely close limits. It is a function of the die form.
